Greater New Orleans Federal Credit Union Announces 2022 Enola M. Fee Scholarship Recipients
Greater New Orleans Federal Credit Union, GNO FCU, is pleased to announce its two 2022 $2,000.00 Enola M. Fee Scholarship recipients, Connor Goodly and Joppa Vernon.
The Enola M. Fee Scholarship Program was established in honor of Enola M. Fee, a distinguished board member, who selflessly devoted many years of service to the credit union and the community. In keeping with Enola’s spirit of volunteerism, applicants submit essays highlighting how they hope to deliver the credit union philosophy throughout their lives.
“Some people search their whole lives to discover their “why.” Living a life of service is my “why.” I may not be able to change the whole world, but I will work diligently to use my education to change the world around me for the better.” said Connor, who is graduating from Warren Easton Charter High School. Connor will be attending Southern University this fall.
“I want to bring more programs to the city for children to help grow and develop their minds, while productively occupying their time,” said Joppa, who is graduating from Booker T. Washington High School. Joppa will be attending Southern University this fall.
Both recipients embody the credit union philosophy and share a passion for service. We were touched by the authenticity of their essays and are so proud to honor these two amazing students. Help us congratulate Connor and Joppa on being selected. We wish them the best of luck in all of their future endeavors!
