GNO Federal Credit Union Employees Volunteer at Marrero Middle School on Columbus Day
In celebrating the Columbus Day holiday, employees of GNO Federal Credit Union dedicated their day to making a positive impact in the community by volunteering at Marrero Middle School. Our hope is that with these efforts, we enhance the learning environment for students and demonstrate the organization’s commitment to giving back.
Employees participated in several meaningful projects inside and outside of the school, including organizing classrooms, planting shrubs, adding decorative rocks to the garden area, and preparing the school gazebo for a new roof. Their hard work contributed to creating a more inviting and supportive atmosphere for both students and staff.
“We believe that investing in our community is part of our mission,” said Shelley Sanders, CEO of GNO Federal Credit Union. “By volunteering our time and resources, we hope to make a lasting impact on Marrero Middle School and provide a better environment for students to learn and grow.”
This event is part of GNO Federal Credit Union’s ongoing community outreach program, which actively seeks opportunities for employees to engage with local organizations and schools. Through these efforts, the credit union staff aims to inspire others to participate in community service, fostering a sense of unity and support throughout the area.
GNO Federal Credit Union encourages other organizations and individuals to consider volunteering in their communities. Together, we can create a brighter future for our children and strengthen the bonds within our neighborhoods.
