GNO FCU is holding a Back-to-School & Baby Supply Drive to benefit Covenant House New Orleans. As part of the credit union philosophy of “people helping people”, GNO FCU started it’s Hope, Heart & Soul initiative, which gives back to those in our community each quarter. This quarter GNO employees will be donating to Covenant House New Orleans and are asking for your help with donations.

For more than five decades, Covenant House has helped transform and save the lives of more than a million homeless, runaway and trafficked young people. Covenant House opens its heart and its doors each year to more than 900 youth & children ages 22 and under. Covenant House offers housing and support services to young people in need. Their New Maternal Group Home is set to open in mid-August, and will serve pregnant women who are homeless, from the first trimester through baby’s first year of life. It will be a model of care that brings all prenatal and postnatal services into a home environment combined with other wraparound services.

Donations will be accepted at any of our three branches now through Monday, August 8, 2022.  Anyone who donates will have a chance to win a $25 gift card. Below is a list of items needed.

Maternal Group Home Needs:

• Door Stoppers
• Baby Gates/Guards
• Safety Latches
• Safety Locks
• Hunidifiers
• Teething Gel
• Thermometer
• Colic/Gas Medication

PK-Kindergarten Needs:

• Nap Mats
• Jumbo Crayons and Pencils
• Paper Towels
• Sanitizing Wipes
• Construction Paper
• Any additional supplies for under 5 years
