Celebrating Young Creativity at St. Charles Parish Satellite Center

We’re thrilled to spotlight the incredible creativity and talent of students from the St. Charles Parish Satellite Center! As part of a unique project designed to empower and inspire, these young minds have developed innovative advertising concepts for GNO FCU, including logos, mascots, and fresh marketing ideas.

Over the coming weeks, we will be showcasing the outstanding work of 11 dedicated teams, each made up of 3-4 aspiring creatives. Their innovative concepts will be featured across GNO FCU’s social media, advertising, and marketing platforms, giving you a chance to experience their remarkable talents up close.

This initiative is more than just a celebration of creativity; it’s an investment in the future. With nearly 40 extraordinary students involved, we’re proud to support the next generation and help them thrive in their creative pursuits. Join us in celebrating our community and the bright future that lies ahead

Seth Moheng, Anson Pan, & Ethan Pervan

“Team Cozy” created an entire concept built around “Cozy Together- Dream Together”. Their concept played up the strong relationship between GNOFCU and our Members. They captured the feeling that we really are in this with our members and we are dedicated to them living their best financial lives. Perhaps nothing they came up with as catchy or wonderful as “Coiny” our mascot. They envisioned “Coiny” being on specialty items, in ads and even being the face of our Chat GPT online.

Alexa Kelly, Tracy Engel, Andre Garcia, & Dakota Treichler

This team said they were presenting concepts that would be “refreshing and youthful” and they didn’t disappoint. Some truly professional logo work was presented. They also did a great website mockup contrasting an old black & white photo with a modern pic showing our growth over 90 years. They dubbed our team the “GNO Credit Crew” and delivered fully realized ads including one listing 90 years of…family, unity, community, support and trust. They also had a gator mascot and theirs was dressed like a lineman from the power companies.

Jordan Francois, Randy Lee, & Kaylee Parfait

Team 3 leaned heavily into a whole new social media strategy for GNOFCU. This included fully developed posts and videos as well as a sensational idea for a campaign built around “Generations” that would show old and young together in moving black & white imagery. They also created a streetcar mascot designed to link GNOFCU to our blue collar background.

Noah Bagwell, Ryley Parfait, & Carla Zapata

Team 4 jumped into the GNOFCU blue collar mentality while trying to lure younger customers with both feet. They did photo shoots, testimonials, and developed 2 very strong logo concepts including one for our 90th anniversary. This is a quote from their pitch, “We believe there is a power in storytelling, it appeals to our emotions and our senses but can also have an impact on your clients. If GNO is able to show a younger view of life, more generations will be able to connect with them.”

Gabriel Dufresne, Malina Mendez, & Ty Wilson

Calling themselves “Team Frothy” Team 5 brought a high level of personalized messaging to their campaigns. They envisioned the GNOFCU logo in froth at the top of a cup of coffee, they mocked up whole social media posts, videos and webpages. This team also used humor wonderfully and brought a ton of personality to their campaigns.

Justin Gilmore, Conner Hill, Dominick Licciardi, & Blaise Wilson

This talented group produced original animated cartoons that truly captivated audiences. One cartoon cleverly illustrated how credit works, while another featured a young gamer engaging directly with the camera about credit topics. Additionally, they introduced a dynamic segment called “Smart Money Matters,” hosted by an engaging spokesperson. Each project was nothing short of brilliant, complete with striking logos that left a lasting impression. The enthusiasm and energy this team infused into their work was truly remarkable!

Grace Casady, Maggie Daigle, Kyle Moody, and Derek Roussel

This team embraced the tagline “Changing Lives since 1935” and truly delivered on that promise. They presented mock-ups of their work, envisioning them in locations like the mall. A standout idea was their design for a new GNO mascot, “Beignet the Gator,” featured on a poster with a QR code linking directly to our GNO website. The illustrations were so impressive that we plan to have the student create coloring pages for our Members’ children!
