As a valued member, your credit union is committed to providing you with exceptional products and services. To accomplish this, we rely on, and sometimes share with other parties, information about you. We want you to understand what information we collect, how we share it, and the steps we take to protect your member information. We also want you to understand what choices you have regarding our sharing information with others.
Information We Collect
Some areas of our web site require information, such as your e-mail address or your account number, to enable you to perform certain tasks (for example, review your accounts or correspond with us). In these cases, we collect your information if necessary to interact with you. If you do not interact with us, you browse our web site anonymously, and personal information, such as your e-mail address, is not collected.
We gather and analyze data regarding usage of our web site, including domain name, number of hits, pages visited, length per user session, etc., to evaluate the usefulness of our sites.
Sharing of Information to Others
We may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to the following types of entities: (these examples are not intended to be all inclusive)
- Financial service providers, such as our non-affiliated insurance agents
- Non-affiliated companies that perform administrative services for us such as: printers, mail houses, publishers or marketing companies
As permitted by law, we also may disclose the following information to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other agents with which we have joint marketing agreements. Information we receive from you on applications or other forms such as your name, address, social security number, and account number (as long as the account number is provided in an encrypted form, and the recipient is not provided a means to decode the encryption and the non affiliated third party agent cannot generate charges to the account, unless authorized by you).
- Information about your transactions with us, or others such as: your account balance, payment history, and credit card usage.
- Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies, such as your credit worthiness and credit history.
We do not disclose any nonpublic information about our former members to anyone, except as permitted by law.
How to Limit the Sharing of Information to Others
If you prefer that we not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to non-affiliated third parties, you may opt out of those disclosures by directing us to not make disclosures, other than those permitted by law.
If you do not want us to share information as indicated in the proceeding section, you must inform us. You may either write, call, e-mail, or stop by in person to advise us of your choice. Please refer to the Contact Information in this notice.
We ask that you use the attached form to specify which information you do not want to share.
